One Sunday ago,i was from church and i decided to go to a mall,and as i was heading there..some little boy came up to me and said “saw’bona,bengicela ukuk’yenzela Ipoem” and i was “sure,go ahead”...and so he did the poem. It was about South Africa and the president and basically he was just talking about how much he loved his country. I gave him money afterwards and he said thank you in the most humblest way. So i asked him where he was from and so on,and he told me where he was from,he also told me that he catches a train every Sunday to come do poems for people at the mall. I was very touched to a point where i ended up in tears. A week later,i decided you know what, i am going to buy grocery for this little man and his family,and i did JUST THAT!!!. It felt amazing ! it felt too great!
I did not regret it one bit because for me it is really not about helping someone who can help me back all the time but it is about helping someone who CANNOT help me back....and thats when i knew that i haved LIVED. Felt so blessed.
We always think we do not have enough in our lives,but guess what,there is someone out there who is going through far worse than you. Since meeting that kid,i realised that i am truly blessed to come home to a home cooked meal and go to bed with a satisfied tummy. I may not have it all,my life may not be perfect but i am content.
So go out there,help a soul,be a miracle to someone else...even though that person may not be able to repay you back BUT just know that you are planting a seed for yourself and some day that seed is going to manifest into something great!!
